About the Estate
Walkersons Private Estate is a beautifully maintained, upmarket country estate offering full title ownership to a limited few, with only 114 stands in total, within 800 hectares, exclusivity is ensured. Situated only 10 kms from Dullstroom on the R540 towards Lydenburg, entrance is through a security controlled gatehouse. All the internal roads are all tarred and private air crafts can land on the Estate airstrip.
The Estate offers its residents an exclusive country lifestyle with access to manicured grounds, a mountain nature reserve, indigenous fauna and flora, trout fishing in 14 and 4km of river frontage. The Estate is also home to the renowned Five-star Walkersons Hotel which has a wonderful ambiance and offers five-star meals.

There is no time limit on when to build in Walkersons Private Estate. Other Estates are very strict on this and imposepenalties should building not commence within their time frame!
A feature of Walkersons Estate are the three well thought out house plans created by the well known architectural firm Boogertman & Partners. The three innovative and highly suitable architectural styles have been placed into the following themes: Homestead Style, Veranda Style and Barnyard Style, within these styles an owner may consult with his own architect to personalize his house within the architectural guidelines. All plans need to be approved by the aesthetics committee.
A traditional style characterized by 70% stonework, parapet gabling and lean to veranda roofs supported by metal or timber posts.
Inspired by the original Transvaal homes known for their deep shaded verandahs, 30% stonework and low-slung roofs.
It is both rustic and contemporary and features double storey elevations with loft windows, wooden shutters and box shaped bay windows.
There is complete flexibility in which design of home you would like to use.
Each village is themed in one particular style to create a sense of aesthetic harmony. Each stand in each village has been architecturally placed to maximize views and create fluidity in common areas that interlock together with landscaped gardens in a seamless fashion.
Stand owners are not locked in to a building contract and can choose whom they would like to build their home from a list of Accredited Builders. The disturbance area on each stand is limited to a 20m radius from the placed peg in order to minimize the impact of the buildings on the Estate collectively. This also assures adjacent stands the maximum opportunity for uninterrupted views. This disturbance area provides for ample building plans and equates to approximately 1200 sqm of ground floor buildings.
Monthly levies are approximately R4295.00 per month which can be broken down as follows (all totals including VAT) Monthly levy = R3567.53, Electricity availability charge = R686.36 and CSOS levy R40.00.
