Zest Gives Back

We believe that it is most important to help support the community around us. Not only do our donations come from Zest Property Group as a company, but every individual in Zest contributes as well and for that we are very proud.

In Mpumalanga we donate a percentage of each commission on every sale to one of the charities mentioned below.

Often giving time is more valuable than money, and that is what our office in Gauteng does - they provide pro-bono property, legal and financial consulting to individuals that have been less fortunate.

Who do we support? We have chosen the charities that really make our hearts warm and it is wonderful to see for ourselves the difference they are making in our community. We have come to know many of the individuals that run these charities personally and they are the true heroes.

Do you want to help too? Have a look below and if you feel that you would like to help out, just click on the Charity link that most appeals to you for more info on what they do and how to contact them.

  1. Silver Days
Silver Days was founded and is still run by Seniors as a community based project. In 1986 Ons Huis Service Centre was founded and in 1988 Ons Tuiste Old Age Home was opened with 14 beds. Another annex was opened in 1990 to accommodate 28 Frail Residents which has a 24 hour inclusive health care service. A six bed frail care ward was opened in 2005. Silver Days ensures the consecutive supply of supportive and capacity building programs to enhance quality of life. Click here for more info and contact details

  2. FAMSA Northern Mpumalanga
FAMSA need funds to develop a Hospice in Sakhelwe, the location in Dullstroom. The Emakhazeni Municipality has allocated 12.5 hectares of land in front of Siyifunile High School to FAMSA Northern Mpumalanga on a 20-year lease, and combined with the hospice, which has a large training centre, this could be further developed to provide facilities for orphans and vulnerable children, and projects to increase self-help in the community. 3. Helping Hands
In December 2005 a group of Dullstroom ladies organised an end-of-year braai (and gifts) for all the residents of "Epilepsy SA" (SANEL) in Dullstroom. Following the success of this event "Helping Hands" came into being at the start of 2006. Their mission is to identify needs in the community and to undertake projects to help meet those needs. Helping Hands also support Ingrid Plant's feeding and clothing scheme for the underprivileged in Dullstroom. This charity currently supports 110 children who live in the most dire circumstances. They also do a lot for SANEL and other charities in the area - basically ensuring that all money collected is quickly converted into actual needs based items and delivered directly to those that need the help.
