Focuses on providing a home for impoverished children Belfast Fundraising nr: 010-243NPO Contact: Marita Enslin at 013 253 0718 Background The SAVF has helped the impoverished, aged and abandoned children since 1904. The Belfast Children's Home opened its doors in 1996. The children are mainly from Mpumalanga and their ages range from 5 - 18 years. There are currently 105 girls and 88 boys. There are 193 children in total. The staff comprises of 48. The aim is to provide guidance on a 24 hour basis on all levels. Children are encouraged to rebuild severed relationships with family members and to learn how to function in a positive environment.
