- The cottage was built in the 1880s. Representatives of the National Monument Committee were consulted so that it could be authentically restored;

WATER:
-There are two strong boreholes one of which supplies the house with water via a large concrete reservoir, which was recently been refurbished;
-There are three dams on the property, both of which are registered. The second dam feeds a Ram pump which supplies the staff house with water;
